What this page is for
A departure timetable is for a very ordinary moment: you are at a stop, near a station, or about to leave, and you want to know what goes next. mesdeparts.ch keeps that flow short. Search the place, open the board, then compare the next few departures without filling in a full trip-planning form.
Use it for quick checks like the next bus from your usual stop, two tram lines at the same platform, or whether a train still looks reachable before you walk to the station.
Use it when the next departure is the decision
The board is intentionally smaller than a journey planner. It does not ask where you want to arrive, sell a ticket, calculate a fare, or decide whether a connection is guaranteed. It answers the immediate stop-based question first.
For a trip with several changes, accessibility details, tickets, fares or a connection that really matters, finish the decision in an official journey planner or with the operator.
Planned timetable first
The base of the board is the planned public transport timetable. A row can still be useful when no live update is attached: you can read the line, destination, scheduled time and, where the source provides it, the stop position, platform or track.
This planned view is especially useful for quiet periods, small stops, timetable-only services, or cases where a provider has not published usable realtime data for the specific trip.
Live additions when available
When source coverage provides it, mesdeparts.ch adds realtime context such as delays, early departures, cancellations, service alerts, or a changed platform or track. If the source does not provide usable realtime data, the planned time remains visible instead of a guessed estimate.
For the meaning of live, planned-only, stale or partial rows, read the live departures guide.
What stays simple
The board keeps the useful pieces close together: stop or station, line, destination, departure time, countdown, status, and platform or track when the data contains it. Try places such as Lausanne, Chauderon, Genève, Bel-Air, Zürich HB and Basel, Barfüsserplatz show the intended stop-based use.

When to use official channels
mesdeparts.ch is independent and non-official. It can complement official services, but it does not sell tickets, calculate fares, guarantee connections, or replace station displays and operator announcements when the decision matters.
